Special RoutinesWe are a class family! Each week all students will be assigned a job. We count on each other to help and encourage as we learn many new things. We will grow and learn in many ways this year. We will learn about ourselves, each other, and build new skills to be readers, writers, mathematicians, scientists, geographers, and kind thoughtful citizens! We will look for the good in ourselves and in others.
Birthdays Yes! We love to celebrate birthdays in kindergarten! Birthday treats are always a big hit and I encourage parents to do what is easiest and of course, and what is fun for building memories. Should there be a food allergy, I will make sure everyone is aware at the start of the school year. Please do not have your child pass out birthday invitations at school unless you have one for everyone. There can be hurt feelings. Addresses can be obtained by ordering the PTA Directory! Thank you for your thoughtfulness. If you have questions, please feel free to ask! Show and Share Show and Share will be part of our daily routine in kindergarten. The purpose of Show and Share is to allow each student an opportunity to be the main speaker in front of the class and to learn to communicate effectively through sharing information and answering questions. Show and Share is a time to teach our classmates something we have learned and to build connections with information we already know! Toys can be a wonderful median for kids to start talking about something they care about! We are building skills to have excellent communication skills! Learning to speak effectively and to listen to others actively are life long skills. |
